Oyo APC Women’s Wing Targets 5,000 Women Statewide in Palliative, Empowerment Programme …Schedules Activities for October 26–28 in Akinyele, Ibadan and Oyo

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), through its Women’s Wing, has announced the confirmed dates, venues and times for its 2026 Women’s Palliative and Empowerment Programme across the state.

The programme, according to an official notice issued by the State Woman Leader, Dr Adekemi Opatunde, is designed to reach women at the grassroots through empowerment activities and palliative support. Party leaders, local government women leaders, stakeholders and nominated beneficiaries have been invited to participate in the scheduled exercises.

The first phase will cover Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government Areas on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 2 p.m. The exercise will take place at the APC Party House in Akinyele Local Government Area.

The second programme is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, at noon, for beneficiaries from Ibadan North-West and Ibadan North-East local government areas. The venue is Sacred Hearts Basic School, behind Fatgbems Petrol Station, Ode-Oolo, Ibadan. On Wednesday, October 28, beneficiaries from Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West local government areas will converge at Oba Adeyemi Mini Stadium, Oyo, for the programme, also scheduled to begin at noon.

Opatunde urged party leaders and relevant stakeholders to ensure that all nominated beneficiaries were duly informed and that adequate arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of the activities. She expressed appreciation for the anticipated cooperation and participation of party members, reiterating the Women’s Wing’s commitment to extending its grassroots initiatives to women across the state.
