The leadership of the Boye Nation Movement has reaffirmed its commitment to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), dismissing rumours suggesting that its leader, Hon. Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, has defected or plans to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Friday and signed by the movement’s spokesperson, Amb. Omiyale Ademola, the group described the rumours circulating on social media and in some political circles as baseless and misleading.
The movement stated categorically that Hon. Sangogade remains a bona fide, committed and loyal member of the APM, stressing that he has no intention of returning to the APC.
Addressing speculations surrounding a recent meeting between Sangogade and Barr. Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the statement explained that the meeting was purely a social interaction based on a longstanding personal friendship between the two individuals.

According to the movement, attending an invitation from a personal friend should not be interpreted as an indication of political realignment or defection to another party.
The leadership urged the people of Oyo State, party faithful and supporters across the country to disregard the rumours, describing them as attempts by mischief-makers to create unnecessary distractions and confusion within the political space.
It further maintained that Sangogade remains focused on strengthening the APM, consolidating its political structures and working towards the success of the party and its candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The statement reiterated the movement’s confidence in the APM, declaring that it remains resolute in its political commitment and determination to support the party’s growth and electoral prospects.
The statement was signed by Amb. Omiyale Ademola, spokesperson of the Boye Nation Movement.
