*_KIDNAPPED VICTIMS REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER 18 DAYS; OORELOPE CHAIRMAN COMMENDS SECURITY AGENCIES, RESIDENTS_*

Relief and joy have returned to the people of Oorelope Local Government following the successful and safe rescue of the wife of Alhaji Al-Iklas and other kidnapped victims after spending 18 days in captivity.

The Executive Chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Hon. Ogundiran Jacob Oluwale described the development as a major breakthrough in the ongoing fight against criminality, expressing profound gratitude to the gallant officers of the FID-IRT team led by ASP Ajegoke Amos, in collaboration with other security agencies, for their unwavering commitment, professionalism, and resilience throughout the rescue operation.

The Chairman also extended heartfelt appreciation to the good people of Oorelope Local Government for their steadfast prayers, patience, and support during the difficult period.

He equally acknowledged the invaluable roles played by the traditional rulers, community leaders, vigilante groups, and other relevant stakeholders whose cooperation and commitment greatly contributed to the successful outcome of the mission.

He noted that the collective resolve of the community remains a strong pillar in sustaining peace and security across the local government.

While rejoicing with the rescued victims and their families, the Chairman urged all residents to remain vigilant and security conscious at all times.

He encouraged members of the public to promptly report any suspicious movement or activities to the appropriate security agencies for immediate action.

He reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies and implementing measures that will continue to protect the lives and property of all residents of Oorelope Local Government.
