Residents and traders affected by the recent fire outbreak at Bode Market have received words of sympathy and reassurance from the lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, who expressed deep concern over the unfortunate incident and the losses suffered by victims.

Speaking on the incident, Agboworin, in a statement signed by his Media Group in Ibadan, described the market inferno as a painful development that has disrupted the livelihoods of many traders and families who depend on the market for daily income.

He extended his heartfelt sympathies to those who lost goods, properties, and valuables in the fire, noting that the emotional and economic impact on victims cannot be overlooked.

“I deeply sympathize with all traders and families affected by this unfortunate incident. Losing years of investment and sources of livelihood is a painful experience, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted,” he said.

The lawmaker appealed to government and well-meaning individuals in the society to urgently intervene and support the victims to rebuild their businesses and resume normal economic activities.

He equally urged market leaders, traders, and residents to cooperate with safety officials by observing basic fire prevention measures, emphasizing the importance of proper electrical installations and emergency preparedness.
