Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the state into a hub for business, investment, and economic growth.

As part of its 2025 plan, the administration has outlined a series of initiatives aimed at driving development, improving lives, and positioning Oyo State for sustainable growth.

According to Governor Makinde, during his bimonthly letter to the good people of Oyo State, his administration’s vision for 2025 is built on a foundation of human capital development, infrastructure expansion, and economic empowerment. “We are committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, and we believe that our investments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare will play a critical role in achieving this goal,” he said.

Some of the key initiatives outlined in the administration’s 2025 plan include the completion of several ongoing infrastructure projects, first segment of the circular road project should be ready by the third quarter of 2025 for use, he will also award the interchange and hydraulic structures on the second segment of the circular road within this quarter. The administration also plans to invest in the development of new infrastructure, including roads and public buildings.

In addition to infrastructure development, the administration’s 2025 plan also prioritizes human capital development. According to Governor Makinde, human capital development is critical to the state’s growth and prosperity. To achieve this, the administration has outlined several initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, and social welfare.

Governor Makinde noted that his administration’s 2025 plan is designed to be inclusive, sustainable, and impactful. “We are committed to ensuring that our development plans are aligned with the needs and aspirations of our citizens, and that they are designed to deliver long-term benefits and value,” he said.

Governor Makinde’s 2025 program will also prioritizes economic empowerment, with a focus on creating jobs, improving livelihoods, and reducing poverty. His administration has reinforced its commitment to excellence in public service and human capital development with the appointment of over 40 Permanent Secretaries, poised to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Oyo State citizens.

This strategic move is part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen the state’s civil service, ensuring that it is equipped to drive growth, development, and prosperity for all citizens.

The new Permanent Secretaries, selected through a rigorous process, bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and passion to their roles.

As they settle into their positions, the Permanent Secretaries will play critical roles in shaping policies, programs, and projects that impact various aspects of life in Oyo State.

From education and healthcare to infrastructure development and economic empowerment, these leaders will work tirelessly to ensure that the state’s resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.

Governor Makinde’s commitment to excellence in public service is evident in his administration’s focus on merit-based appointments, transparency, and accountability. By surrounding himself with talented and dedicated professionals, the governor is confident that his vision for a greater Oyo State will become a reality.

The appointment of the new Permanent Secretaries is also a significant milestone in the governor’s efforts to transform the state’s civil service into a world-class institution.
