*AKINYELE WARD 8 UNITED: WOLE AKINLEYE RECEIVES APC, ACCORD PARTY DECAMPEES*

The political landscape of Ward 08 in Akinyele Local Government has taken another significant turn as the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, received new members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party into the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The development followed the recent efforts to reconcile and unite the different tendencies within Ward 08, giving birth to the “Ward 08 United” initiative; an arrangement designed to strengthen internal cohesion, broaden participation and position the party for the forthcoming elections.

The movement into APM, according to the new members, reflects their assessment of the direction of governance at the local government and the development recorded under the leadership of Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, alongside the wider development agenda of Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde. Across Akinyele, the conversation is increasingly shifting from political labels to visible governance, grassroots engagement and what directly affects ordinary residents.

The recent Ward 08 engagement comes against a wider period of political realignment in Oyo State, with APM attracting members from other political platforms.

More importantly, the development reinforces the emerging identity of APM as a platform seeking to place the *common man at the centre of governance* the artisan, farmer, trader, market woman, civil servant, youth and every resident whose daily reality should matter in political decision-making.
