The Bolumole Progressive Youth Forum has officially endorsed Hon. Akinsete Olakunle as its preferred candidate for the Ibadan South West Constituency II seat in the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
The endorsement was announced over the weekend during a meeting of the forum in Ibadan, where members said the decision followed wide consultation with youths across the constituency.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the group described Hon. Akinsete as “a committed, accessible, and people-oriented politician” with the capacity to provide effective representation at the state legislature.
“Hon. Akinsete has consistently shown that he understands the needs of the people. He is grassroots to the core and has the vision to champion the interests of Ibadan South West Constituency II,” the forum stated.
According to the group, the endorsement reflects the confidence of the youths in his leadership qualities, grassroots connection, and commitment to community development.
The Bolumole Progressive Youth Forum added that it will mobilize support across wards in the constituency to ensure Akinsete’s victory in 2027.
“We believe in his ability to attract developmental projects, empower youths, and give our constituency a strong voice in the Oyo State House of Assembly,” the statement added.
Hon. Akinsete Olakunle is known for his involvement in community initiatives in Ibadan South West. He is expected to formally declare his ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
