Oke Ogun APC Youths warn against ”foreign invasion’

Concerned youths in the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State have warned against against what they call ‘foreign invasion’ into the area.

This was sequel to notice of a meeting purportedly called by a member of the party,Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle.

Entitled ‘INVITATION TO OKE-OGUN APC STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING’, Ibikunle noted as follows:

The youths wondered why no elder in Oke Ogun or an official of the party in the area could not convene the meeting and you need an outsider to do so.

‘We have always complained against the domination of Ibadan that controls 50 % of the votes in the state. We are still battling with this and we are now witnessing the domination of an Ibarapa man whose area has only 2 % of the votes in the state.

‘Our leaders should not allow this to happen. We also call on the Chairman of the APC in Oyo State, Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemo not to allow people to hijack his responsibility and turn his people to second class citizens in the APC.

‘Fatai Ibikunle who is calling this meeting cannot call a meeting of stakeholders in Ibarapa where he comes from. Why is it that it is in Oke Ogun that he will come and be flexing muscle. We advise the APC not to encourage offensive activities like this that could spell doom for the party in the Oke Ogun area of the state. A word is enough for the wise.’.the statement concluded.
