The newly constructed Executive Chairman’s Office in Ibadan South West Local Government will be officially commissioned on Thursday under the administration of Hon. Kehinde Akande.
The commissioning ceremony is expected to have in attendance the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Barrister Abdulrahman Adebayo Lawal, who will commission the office for usage.
A statement from the office of the Chairman said the new office complex was built to provide a modern and befitting workspace that will enhance productivity and bring governance closer to the people at the grassroots.
“This project reflects our administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and creating a conducive environment for effective service delivery in Ibadan South West,” the statement noted.
Hon. Akande said the new Executive Chairman’s Office will serve as the administrative nerve center of the local government and will improve efficiency in the day-to-day running of council affairs.
Since assuming office, the Chairman has prioritized infrastructural development, staff welfare, and people-oriented projects across the local government.
The commissioning is scheduled to hold at the Ibadan South West Local Government Secretariat by 10:00am on Thursday.
Other dignitaries expected include members of the Oyo State Executive Council, APM leaders, traditional rulers, council chairmen, party stakeholders, and community leaders within Ibadan South West.
Residents have commended the initiative, describing it as a clear demonstration of Hon. Akande’s commitment to transforming the council and strengthening governance at the local level.
