The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has officially unveiled Hon. Ganiy Omotosho and Hon. Dauda Oladele as its Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates respectively for the forthcoming 2026 Local Government election in Ibadan North-West Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The unveiling ceremony drew party leaders, stakeholders, ward executives, councillorship candidates and supporters from across the eleven wards of the local government, with speakers expressing confidence in the party’s chances at the polls.
Speaking on behalf of the party leaders, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-West Local Government, Hon. Rahman Adepoju, commended party faithful and members of the community for their steadfast commitment to the growth and development of the local government. He described the emergence of Omotosho and Oladele as a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by the party and formally presented the duo as the party’s standard-bearers for the election.
Adepoju urged members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the Allied Peoples’ Movement, stressing that victory would only be achieved through collective efforts, dedication and grassroots mobilisation.

In his remarks, the APM Chairman in Ibadan North-West Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Fantola, charged party faithful to remain loyal and committed to the party, assuring them that their sacrifices and steadfastness would soon yield positive results.
He further urged members to remain focused on securing victory for the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in all the forthcoming elections by embarking on massive mobilisation across the eleven wards and ensuring overwhelming support for all the party’s candidates.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Ganiy Omotosho, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde for his leadership and continued support for democratic governance in Oyo State.
Omotosho also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to party leaders, stakeholders and members for entrusting him and his running mate with the responsibility of leading the party into the local government election.
He reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling every promise made to the people of Ibadan North-West, pledging to provide purposeful, transparent and people-centred leadership. He appealed to party members and residents to sustain their support and work together to ensure the party’s victory at the polls.
The event also featured the formal presentation of the Allied Peoples’ Movement’s councillorship candidates for the eleven political wards in Ibadan North-West Local Government Area, as party leaders charged them to engage the electorate peacefully and intensify grassroots campaigns ahead of the election.
