As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, the Leader of the Legislative Arm of Ido Local Government, Hon. Adedeji Adebowale, has felicitated with the people of Ido Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigerians at home and in the diaspora on the significant national occasion.
In his Independence Day message, Hon. Adebowale described the anniversary as an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey since independence, appreciate its achievements, and renew their commitment to building a peaceful, united and prosperous country.
He urged residents of Ido Local Government to continue to promote peace, unity, tolerance and mutual understanding, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and collective responsibility.
The legislative leader also called on citizens to remain hopeful and committed to the progress of the country, urging them to support initiatives that promote good governance, economic development, social justice and improved living conditions for the people.


According to him, national development is a collective responsibility that requires the contributions of government, traditional institutions, community leaders, youths, women and other stakeholders.
Hon. Adebowale expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its present challenges and emerge stronger, while calling for renewed patriotism and a shared commitment to national renewal.
He prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria, Oyo State and Ido Local Government, wishing Nigerians a happy 66th Independence Anniversary.
