The attention of leaders, elders, and stakeholders of the Ibarapa zone has been drawn to the ongoing impeachment-related discussions and speculations involving our son and kinsman, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.

After wide consultations, across the length and breadth of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, and at the conclusion of a high-level emergency meeting convened today, the fourteenth of April, 2026, we wish to unequivocally state as follows:
1. Dissociation from Impeachment Moves: We, the collective voice of Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency leaders and elders, firmly dissociate ourselves from any ongoing or rumored impeachment efforts concerning Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin. Such actions do not have our endorsement, support, or backing in any form and does not reflect our character as a people.

2. Call for Stability and Unity:


Ibarapa has always been known for its commitment to peace, stability, and progressive governance. We urge all political actors and stakeholders to prioritize unity and the overall development of Oyo State above personal or sectional interests.

3. Confidence in Leadership:

Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has remained a worthy ambassador of Ibarapa land and we implore him to reach out to all relevant stakeholders to resolve this matter accordingly and let the truth prevail to Nigerians.
4. Unwavering Loyalty to the Governor: We reaffirm our total and unalloyed loyalty to His Excellency, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State. We recognise his visionary leadership, commitment to good governance, and dedication to the welfare of all citizens of the state.
5. Commitment to Continued Support: The Ibarapa zone remains resolute in its support for the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde. We stand firmly with his government in its efforts to sustain peace, promote development, and deliver the dividends of democracy to all.
In conclusion, we call on all sons and daughters of Ibarapa, as well as political stakeholders across Oyo State, to remain calm, law-abiding, and committed to the ideals of unity, justice, and progress.
