Ibadan, Oyo State — August 2026
Dr. Kazeem Babatunde Akande, mni, has warmly congratulated Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD) on her appointment as Director of the Women’s Wing of the 2027 Campaign Council.
Dr. Akande described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of RAD’s experience, commitment to public service, grassroots engagement and sustained advocacy for women and inclusive participation in governance.
He noted that effective women mobilisation requires more than political organisation; it demands a leader who understands the aspirations, concerns and potential of women across communities and can translate those aspirations into meaningful participation in the democratic process.

According to him, RAD has consistently demonstrated passion for women empowerment, grassroots development, community engagement and inclusive leadership, qualities which make her well suited for the responsibility.
“I warmly congratulate Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo on this important appointment. Her record of grassroots engagement and commitment to women and community development speaks for itself. I am confident that she will bring her wealth of experience, energy and organisational capacity to bear on the assignment.”
Dr. Akande further stressed that women constitute a critical constituency in Nigeria’s democratic development and should not merely be viewed as participants during election periods, but as partners in governance, policy formulation, development and nation-building.
He therefore encouraged RAD to use the opportunity to further strengthen the participation of women, young women, professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders and other stakeholders across Oyo State.
He also called for a campaign environment characterised by issue-based engagement, peaceful participation, respect for divergent opinions and a commitment to the overall development of Oyo State.
Dr. Akande expressed confidence that RAD’s appointment would provide an opportunity for broader conversations around women’s leadership, empowerment, political participation and inclusive development.
He prayed for wisdom, strength and success for Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo in her new responsibility and wished her a highly impactful tenure.
“Once again, I congratulate Hon. RAD. May this new responsibility open another chapter of greater service, stronger women participation and meaningful contributions to the development of Oyo State.”
