Hon. Oladimeji Fatai Olanrewaju, popularly known as Eleyele, has officially emerged as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Councillorship Candidate for Ward 5, Ibadan South West Local Government ahead of the 2026 Oyo State Local Government Elections.
The party primary election saw Hon. Oladimeji Fatai Olanrewaju secure 5 votes to emerge victorious. Hon. Waliu Oluyedun polled 3 votes, while Hon. Alatise Kazeem received no vote. Earlier in the process, Hon. Afeez Ojo and Hon. Mrs. Okanlawon stepped down in support of Hon. Oladimeji’s candidacy.
Following his emergence, Hon. Oladimeji expressed profound appreciation to all party members, delegates, and supporters for their confidence in him. He particularly thanked Hon. Afeez Ojo and Hon. Mrs. Okanlawon for their sacrifice and unity, describing their support as a demonstration of the party’s commitment to progress.
He also extended his gratitude to party leaders and stakeholders whose guidance and encouragement contributed to his success, including:
1. Hon. Balogun Maruff Olumide – Former Local Government Party Chairman.
2. Hon. Adebayo Kaseem “Ola Mummy” – Former Councillor and former Supervisory Councillor.
3. Alhaji Waheed Akanji Oluwo – Chairman, Stakeholders Forum.
4. Hon. Adeniran Morenike – Education Secretary.
