The Political Head/Administrator of Oke’badan LCDA, Hon. Ganiyu Abiodun Omotosho, has emerged as the Chairmanship candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) for Ibadan NorthWest Local Government ahead of the forthcoming 2026 Local Government Elections, following a consensus arrangement unanimously endorsed by the party’s leadership and key stakeholders in the local government.
Hon. Omotosho’s emergence came after extensive consultations among party leaders and stakeholders, who unanimously agreed to adopt him as the party’s flag bearer in recognition of his exemplary leadership, impressive administrative record, loyalty and unwavering commitment to grassroots development during his tenure as the Political Head/Administrator of Oke’badan LCDA.
The consensus decision, which received the full support of the APM leadership across Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, was described by party stakeholders as peaceful, transparent, and a clear demonstration of the unity, harmony, and collective resolve currently existing within the party as it prepares for victory in the 2026 Local Government Elections.
Hon. Ganiyu Abiodun Omotosho reiterated his commitment to providing an inclusive government that will carry every segment of the local government along.

He pledged to sustain and build upon the developmental strides already recorded in Ibadan NorthWest through a continuity-driven administration focused on infrastructure development, quality education, improved healthcare, youth and women empowerment, economic growth, and responsive grassroots governance.
He assured residents that, if elected, his administration would remain accessible, transparent, and dedicated to delivering the dividends of democracy to every community.
