HON. ADEDEJI DHIKRULLAHI OLAJIDE ODIDIOMO
OYO SOUTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT
BY TOLU MUSTAPHA
Election seasons often come with the familiar drama: posters everywhere, campaign convoys, rallies, promises and politicians knocking on virtually every door. But when the music stops, the rallies end and the ballot boxes are packed away, one question remains: Who will still be there for the people?
This is where Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo believes his record and approach to politics set him apart.
His political journey has been built around engagement with the people, accessibility and a practical understanding of what meaningful representation should look like. Now seeking to take his experience to the Senate, the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District is offering voters more than another name on the ballot paper. He is presenting himself as a representative prepared to carry the voices, expectations and aspirations of the people into the Red Chamber.

For Odidiomo, the issues confronting the people are clear.
Young Nigerians are demanding opportunities. Families are struggling with rising living costs. Entrepreneurs are seeking an environment where their businesses can grow. Farmers need better support and improved conditions, while communities across the district continue to demand meaningful development.
These challenges, he believes, should not become talking points only when elections approach. They require continuous listening, engagement and action.
This is where Odidiomo’s experience and relationship with the people become significant. Over the years, he has built his political engagement around staying close to the people, listening to their concerns and responding to needs within his reach.
As a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Odidiomo has gained legislative experience that he now seeks to deploy at a higher level.
His ambition for the Senate, therefore, is rooted in the belief that Oyo South deserves a strong, accessible and responsive voice—one capable of representing the district’s interests while remaining connected to the people at home.
The choice before voters in Oyo South, consequently, goes beyond party colours, campaign excitement and election-day calculations. It is also about the kind of representation the people want after the election is over and the political noise has faded.
A ballot can open the door to the Senate, but service is what gives a mandate meaning.
Odidiomo says he is ready to walk through that door with the people firmly in mind—bringing legislative experience, accessibility, energy and a determination to serve at a higher level.
For Oyo South, this is more than another election.
It is an opportunity to choose a representative who says he is prepared to make the people count.
Odidiomo is ready.
