ADC Coalition Group Applauds Direct Primaries, Rallies Support for Adegoke and Atiku

THE COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE LEADERSHIP OF OYO STATE VOLUNTEERS IN IBADAN TODAY JUNE 3, 2026.

The leadership of the Oyo State Volunteers, an organization among the coalition groups of the African Democratic Congress, ADC (Oyo State Chapter) met today June 3, 2026 in Ibadan to review the just concluded primaries of our great party, the ADC and passed the following resolutions:

i. That the Oyo State Volunteers expressed satisfaction in the democratic principle of Direct Primary adopted by the party to conduct the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship and Presidential;

ii. That we pass a vote of confidence on the impartial conduct of the State Chairman of the party Hon. Afeez Adelowo throughout the process;

iii. That the Oyo State Volunteers specifically applaud the outcome of the gubernatorial and the presidential primaries won by Chief Taofeeq Adegboyega Adegoke and His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar respectively.

iv. That we dissociate the Oyo State Volunteers from unfounded allegations of malpractices being peddled by some disgruntled elements on the just concluded primaries in the state.

In conclusion, the Oyo State Volunteers reiterate their commitment to the growth and the development of the ADC, not only in Oyo State but in Nigeria as a whole, to win the forthcoming general elections.
