In today’s Nigeria, only a few leaders truly stand out—and Governor Seyi Makinde @⁨Seyi Makinde⁩ is undoubtedly one of them.

Are you as proud of your governor as I am of mine in Oyo State?

Can you confidently mention your governor’s name in public, even outside your state, with a sense of pride?

Oyo State is fortunate to have a leader who is not only celebrated within the state but also admired across Nigeria and beyond. A leader who governs with Science, Logic, and Data.

This is not mere flattery; the transformation is visible to all. Even the blind could walk from Ring Road to Ojoo without fear of stumbling into potholes, thanks to the governor’s visionary leadership.

Security has also greatly improved across Oyo State, with patrol vans strategically positioned in various locations. This has played a key role in attracting meaningful investments to the state.

Again, this is not just empty praise—it is the undeniable truth.

Each time I have the privilege of sitting close to Governor Makinde in meetings, I see in his eyes the determination of a leader who is genuinely committed to the progress and well-being of his people.

Beyond governance, he is also dedicated to nurturing and empowering young leaders for today and the future—something he reaffirmed in my last face-to-face conversation with him. His sincerity of purpose is unquestionable.

It is no surprise that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala recently acknowledged his exceptional leadership, saying:
“You stand out, and we are proud of you.”

For a globally respected figure like her to make such a statement, it speaks volumes about Governor Makinde’s integrity and vision.

Your Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, your family must be immensely proud of you. We, the people of Oyo State, are proud of you. Many Nigerians share in this pride.
