Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, member representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, has urged party executives and stakeholders across Ibarapaland to intensify grassroots mobilisation through door-to-door campaigns.
Odidiomo gave the charge during a strategic harmonisation meeting with party leaders, community mobilisers and grassroots political structures in Ibarapaland, where he emphasised the need to take the APM’s message directly to voters across wards, polling units, markets and farming communities.
The two-term lawmaker maintained that achieving electoral success in 2027 would require a coordinated grassroots campaign driven by active engagement with residents and sustained mobilisation at the community level.
He stressed that every party member, from ward executives to grassroots canvassers, had a vital role to play in the party’s electoral preparations, noting that political success depended on genuine connections with the people rather than complacency among party leaders.

Odidiomo urged members to promote the APM’s vision, legislative agenda and people-oriented programmes, adding that effective representation and the equitable distribution of democratic dividends across the nine local government areas in Oyo South Senatorial District required a strong and effective presence in the National Assembly.
Unveiling key aspects of his senatorial agenda for Ibarapaland, the federal lawmaker reiterated his commitment to addressing longstanding infrastructural and developmental disparities between urban Ibadan and the agrarian communities of Ibarapa.
He pledged to prioritise initiatives aimed at attracting direct federal interventions for information and communication technology (ICT) innovation hubs, agricultural value-chain development, youth skills acquisition programmes, rural access roads and improved regional security.
The APM candidate also called on aggrieved party members across the various wards to set aside past disagreements, embrace reconciliation and work together towards building a formidable campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
He emphasised that unity among party members and stakeholders would be crucial to expanding the APM’s grassroots presence and strengthening its electoral prospects across the senatorial district.
At the meeting, party executives, ward leaders and community stakeholders reportedly passed a unanimous vote of confidence in Odidiomo’s senatorial ambition under the APM platform, reaffirming their support for his leadership and candidacy.
The stakeholders also pledged to return to their respective wards and polling units to establish canvassing committees, coordinate door-to-door mobilisation and strengthen engagement with voters across Ibarapaland.
They expressed their determination to work collectively towards securing electoral victory for Odidiomo and the APM in the 2027 general elections.
