The Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola, on Tuesday joined the Oyo State Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu Adelabu, on an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the Kishi-Igbope Road project.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola commended Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde for his continued commitment to infrastructural development across Oyo State, particularly in the Oke-Ogun region. He noted that the Kishi-Igbope Road project would significantly improve transportation, facilitate economic activities, and enhance the movement of people and goods within the benefiting communities.
The Chairman also paid glowing tribute to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Barr. Bayo Lawal, for his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the development of Oke-Ogun. He noted that the Deputy Governor played a pivotal role in facilitating the project, describing his intervention as instrumental to the realization of a long-standing aspiration of the people. Hon. Olayiwola further appreciated Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu Adelabu for his support and commitment to the growth and development of the zone.

In his remarks, Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu Adelabu expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the road project, describing it as a vital infrastructure that will improve connectivity, promote commerce, and enhance the socio-economic wellbeing of the people. The Commissioner commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to delivering impactful projects across the state and equally applauded the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, for his relentless efforts in facilitating the construction of the road. He assured residents that the present administration remains focused on completing projects that will have lasting positive impacts on communities across Oyo State.


The inspection team also included the Leader of the House, Hon. Saliu Sarafadeen Ayinde (Sasay), the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Irepo/Olorunsogo State Constituency, and the Irepo PDP-APM Chairman, Hon. Olawoyin Kunle Kazeem (Olumoyin). The delegation assessed the progress of work on the road project and expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of construction.


The inspection team expressed confidence in the successful completion of the project and urged residents to continue supporting the present administration as it delivers more dividends of democracy to the people.
