Six Years of Impactful Leadership in Public Service”— Ibarapakan Congratulates Makinde

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his six years in office.

In his statement on Thursday, May 29, 2025, Hon. Adepoju described Governor Makinde as a lover of the masses and one whose six years in office have been nothing short of policies and programmes that greatly improve the living conditions of the people of Oyo State.

“On behalf of the good and hard-working constituents in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, I celebrate my leader and mentor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his six years in office.

“Six years ago, the good people of Oyo State chose the path of growth and development by electing a leader who understands that leadership is a call to serve and not for personal aggrandisement.

“Engr. Makinde, in his six years in office, remains the first-ever Governor of this state to still be enjoying the love and acceptance of the masses even in his second-term in office; this is nothing but an evidence of selfless but impactful leadership that is very uncommon,” Hon. Adepoju said.

The lawmaker also stressed that Makinde’s exceptional performance as the Executive Governor of Oyo State has made the pacesetter the most sought-after destination for investors and tourists from across the world.

He praised the fifth Executive Governor of Oyo State for not reneging on his electoral promises for the people of the state, saying that Makinde has demystified public administration by touching so many areas, including but not limited to education, economy, health, agribusiness, infrastructure, sports.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character, however, assured Makinde of the love and continued support of the people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North for his administration, praying to God to continue to grant him the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to continue to steer the ship of the pacesetter state to the greater heights.
