The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, hosted the 2nd Annual Omituntun Ramadan Lecture at the Ido Local Government Secretariat with heartfelt tribute to his late father, Alhaji Chief Dr. Yekini Ayoade Adeojo (Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland), highlighted the chairman’s commitment to promoting Islamic values, community unity, and enduring legacies during Ramadan.

The lecture, titled “Polytheism in Islam,” was delivered by Fadheelat Sheikh Abdulafees Hamzat (Mogaji Okeseni), representing spiritual father Fadheelat Sheikh Tajudeen AbdulKareem Al-Adaby (Baba Lagbeni). Sheikh Hamzat shared profound insights, urging attendees to dedicate themselves solely to Allah, avoid products made from human remains, place trust only in Allah without intermediaries or revered ancestors, and abstain from rituals tied to traditional deities like Oke Ibadan day, Agemo Day, and Osun Day.

The event attracted a diverse crowd, including political figures, Islamic Scholars , religious leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, community representatives, market men and women, women’s associations, and Muslims from across Ido Local Government and beyond.
