The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, has extended his warm congratulations to all the Allied People’s Movement (APM) chairmanship candidates that emerged in the 33 local government areas for the upcoming local government election.

Highlighting the list of candidates are some of the incumbents who secured return tickets for a second term including Hon. Mudadhiru Kamorudeen (Lagelu Local Government), Hon. Wole Akinleye (Akinyele Local Government), Hon. Temitope Kolapo Glorious (Ona Ara Local Government), and Hon. Olaide Popoola Settle (Oluyole Local Government) as well as Hon. Oladebo Ibrahim, popularly known as “Simple, who is at present Vice Chairman for Egbeda Local Government and secured ticket for the said local government.

Hon. Ige popularly known as”Ige again” and chieftain of the APM in Ibadan South East local government also congratulated Hon. Seun Olufade ((Ibadan North Local Government), Hon. Ibrahim Ajiboye popularly known as”Omo Iya Eleja” (Ibadan North East), Hon..Abimbola Saheed Owonifaari (Ibadan South East) and other chairmanship candidates.

Commending the candidates on their successful emergence, Hon. Ige noted that their selection is a clear testament to the confidence and trust the party reposes in their leadership abilities. He expressed firm assurance that they possess the capacity to lead with purpose, inclusivity, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

Hon. Ige further emphasized that their wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for grassroots development would yield exceptional service delivery to the residents of their respective local government areas.

To translate this success at the polls, the Local Government Staff Pension Board Chairman urged all party members, key stakeholders, and supporters of the APM to remain united as the party prepared for the December 29, 2026 local government election.

He called for seamless collaboration across all cadres to guarantee a decisive and overwhelming victory for the party in the forthcoming local government election.

In the same vein, Hon. Ige lauded the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his exemplary leadership style. He noted that the Governor’s strategic guidance paved the way for a smooth, peaceful, and seamless candidate selection process across the council areas.
