Youth Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) drawn from the Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Government Areas today paid a solidarity and congratulatory visit to Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, fondly called OTOPE, following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.

The visit which underscored the collective resolve of the youth wing of the party to rally behind OTOPE’s candidacy. The youthful delegation, comprising youth leaders from wards across the two local governments, described the consensus arrangement as a strategic and unifying move for the party in the constituency.
Speaking during the visit, the leaders noted that OTOPE’s track record of community engagement, youth empowerment, and accessible leadership style has positioned him as the ideal candidate to represent the aspirations of the people at the federal level. They emphasized that the youth demography which forms a significant portion of the voting population is fully prepared to convert their energy into electoral success.

The Youth Leaders assured OTOPE that the mobilization efforts would be thorough and sustained, cutting across tertiary institutions, sports associations, artisan clusters, and community development councils. They reaffirmed their commitment to a door-to-door, street-by-street campaign that will leave no voter in Egbeda and Ona-Ara unreached.

In his remarks, a visibly appreciative Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) received the delegation with warmth and enthusiasm. He acknowledged the strategic importance of the youth constituency in shaping the political future of the area and the state at large.

“This is not just a visit; it is a pact of progress. I have seen the work you do in your various wards, and I am confident that with your energy and our shared vision, we will deliver a resounding victory for the PDP in 2027. My commitment to youth inclusion and development is non-negotiable,” OTOPE affirmed.

The engagement concluded with a brief but fervent prayer session led by members of the delegation, committing the journey ahead into divine hands and praying for the continued peace and prosperity of the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.
