As Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world celebrate this year’s Ileya (Eid-el-Kabir) festival, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim community.

In a goodwill message released on Friday, Otunba Opatoki described the festival as a time of deep reflection, sacrifice, and gratitude to Almighty Allah. He urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe and reflect on the virtues of unity, love, and peace, which the celebration symbolizes.
“I rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo State, across Nigeria, and the world on this blessed occasion of Eid-el-Kabir,” Otunba Opatoki said. “This is a season to strengthen the bonds of friendship, foster religious harmony, and demonstrate love and compassion to one another, regardless of faith or background.”

The PDP stalwart called on Nigerians, especially the people of Oyo State, to continue to live in peace and unity, stressing that progress and development can only be achieved in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

Otunba Opatoki also offered prayers for the leadership of Oyo State. “I pray for continued wisdom and strength for our Governor and all those in positions of authority, that they may steer our dear state towards greater heights of prosperity and peace,” he said.

He urged all citizens to celebrate responsibly and extend helping hands to the needy during the festivities.
“May this Ileya celebration bring joy to every home, foster unity across our communities, and inspire us all to continue building a better society,” Otunba Opatoki concluded, wishing everyone a joyful, fun-filled, and blessed celebration.
