In an extraordinary demonstration of generosity, religious commitment, leadership, and unwavering dedication to community development, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA, the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM, has donated a total sum of ₦30 million during the Central Mosque of Bodija Estate and the Muslim community in its environs Ramadan Lecture.

 

 

 

The donation was announced during the 2nd Ramadan Lecture 2026 themed “Faith: The Way to Happiness.”

 

 

 

The spiritually uplifting lecture was delivered by the respected Islamic scholar, Imam Dr. Basir Olanrewaju Eleshimeta, while Oloye Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke served as the Chairman of the Day.

 

 

 

 

Addressing the congregation, Oloye Adegoke explained that the donation was made on behalf of himself, his family, and his company as a gesture of appreciation to Almighty Allah and as support for the continued growth and development of the mosque.

 

 

 

He lauded the mosque management for their outstanding dedication, discipline, and transparency in maintaining the mosque edifice.

 

 

 

He noted with admiration that the mosque “glitters any day, anytime,” describing it as a shining symbol of excellence, unity, and devotion within the Bodija Muslim community.

He encouraged the leadership of the mosque to sustain the high standards they have set, emphasizing that a well-maintained house of worship reflects the spiritual strength and unity of its members.

 

 

 

Speaking further, the respected Ibadan chief highlighted the importance of religion as a tool for societal peace and stability.

 

 

According to him, faith must go beyond rituals and should actively promote love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among citizens.

 

 

He stressed that peace remains the bedrock of sustainable development in all its ramifications, socially, economically, and politically.

 

 

 

“Without peace, development cannot thrive,” he stated, urging religious leaders and followers alike to continue preaching harmony and mutual respect across communities.

 

 

 

In a moment that deeply resonated with attendees, Oloye Adegoke offered heartfelt prayers, asking that the ongoing Ramadan season would not be the last for any of the faithful.

 

 

He prayed for long life, good health, and the grace to witness many more Ramadans in service to Allah and humanity.

 

 

 

Reaffirming his dedication to the propagation of Islam, he assured the gathering that he would always be available to contribute his quota toward the growth of the religion and the upliftment of the Muslim community.

 

 

The event was graced by several distinguished personalities, including Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari, Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District; Prof. K. K. Oloso; Alhaji Taofeek Sina Alabi; and other prominent leaders and stakeholders from across Ibadanland and beyond.

The atmosphere at the lecture was one of spiritual reflection, unity, and gratitude, as attendees commended Olooye Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke for his remarkable generosity and consistent support for religious and community development initiatives.

 

 

 

Observers described the ₦30 million donation as not only a financial contribution but a powerful statement of responsible leadership, faith-driven philanthropy, and commitment to societal advancement.
