The lawmaker representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, has firmly reaffirmed his loyalty and unwavering support for Seyi Makinde, distancing himself from ongoing rumours suggesting moves to impeach the governor.

In a statement made available to the public, Hon. Gbadamosi described the alleged impeachment process as unfounded and inconsistent with his personal conviction, political values, and longstanding relationship with the governor.
The lawmaker emphasized that throughout his political journey with Governor Makinde, he has never experienced any form of marginalisation, but rather has enjoyed mutual respect, inclusiveness, and purposeful leadership.

Hon. Gbadamosi noted that his association with the governor predates the current administration, dating back to 2014, during which he worked closely with like-minded political figures, including Seye Famojuuro, in building a progressive political structure anchored on trust, loyalty, and service to the people.

He further highlighted his political consistency and commitment, recalling that he remained steadfast in his support for Governor Makinde even during his involvement with the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and was the only candidate to return with the governor into the present administration without wavering in loyalty.

“Let it be clearly stated that I am not in support of any impeachment process against Governor Seyi Makinde. My loyalty to him remains absolute, and I stand firmly with him,” the statement read.

The lawmaker reaffirmed his dedication to the continued success of the Makinde-led administration, pledging to support policies and programmes that promote development, unity, and the welfare of the people of Oyo State.

Hon. Gbadamosi therefore called on the public to disregard any insinuations linking him to such moves, reiterating his commitment to stability, good governance, and the collective progress of the state.
