Political stakeholders from Ogbomoso North Local Government on Wednesday reaffirmed their support for the governorship ambition of Hon. Bimbo Adekambi ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
The stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole; Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Ogunlade; former Commissioner for Works in Oyo State, Prof. Abdulrahman Afonja; Mr. Jide Oketunmi; Mr. Sunday Bankole, PDP State treasurer, Hon Kabiru Ayoade former chairman ogbomoso north and other political leaders, made their position known during an engagement session with Adekambi at his office.
They also described the emergence of Engineer Muftau Open Salawu as the Deputy Governorship Candidate as a welcome development, pledging their full support for the ticket ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
According to the stakeholders, the meeting provided an opportunity to interact with the governorship hopeful, align their vision, and strengthen their commitment towards ensuring his victory at the polls.
They noted that discussions focused on consolidating political structures, deepening grassroots mobilization, and fostering unity among party faithful in pursuit of a greater future for Oyo State.
The stakeholders expressed confidence in Adekambi’s leadership qualities and pledged their continued support for his governorship bid as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the next election cycle.
Speaking after the meeting, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole described the engagement as productive, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, unity, and shared commitment in achieving the collective aspirations of the people of Oyo State.
