Chief Ahmed Ajibola, popularly known as General H Copacapana and Chief Executive Officer of Copacapana Group of Companies, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Bashorun Akinwole Akinwale, popularly known as Wolekanle.
Ajibola, who resigned as the Oyo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement in August 2026, visited Akinwale to congratulate him on his appointment as Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for discussions on the political direction of Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Akinwale urging the businessman and political figure to identify with the political aspirations of Governor Makinde, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and other party candidates.
Speaking during the visit, Akinwale said the Makinde administration had created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state, adding that the favourable business climate had continued to attract investors to Oyo State.

He also expressed confidence that Adekanmbi would sustain the achievements of the present administration through the proposed Omituntun 3.0 agenda.
“You are a living witness to the transformation that has taken place in Oyo State over the past seven years. I am optimistic that Makinde’s presidency will make Nigeria a better country for Nigerians because I know he is capable,” Akinwale said.
The Chief of Staff further called on Ajibola to align with the political direction of the state and support APM candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
The visit comes amid emerging political engagements and consultations involving political stakeholders in Oyo State ahead of the next general elections.
