The lawmaker described the victims’ freedom as a moment of immense relief for their families, the affected communities and the entire state, saying the development reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the protection of lives and property.
In a statement made available to journalists on Friday, Hon. Comforter said Governor Makinde demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout the period of the abduction, noting that he approached the situation with calmness, strategy and determination.
According to her, the governor bore the pain of the affected families like a father and remained focused on ensuring the safe return of the victims rather than making unnecessary public pronouncements.

“Governor Seyi Makinde truly felt the pain of the parents and every resident of Oyo State. He acted as a father who understood the gravity of the situation. He moved silently, strategically and responsibly, ensuring that every necessary step was taken towards securing the freedom of the children and their teachers,” she said.
The lawmaker also praised the efforts of the various security agencies involved in the rescue operation, commending their professionalism, resilience and synergy in securing the victims’ release.

The lawmaker reiterated her commitment to improved security across the state, stressing that the recent incident further underscores the need for stronger security architecture and continued collaboration among all stakeholders.
She recalled her earlier appeal for the establishment of State Police while deliberating on the abduction at the Oyo State House of Assembly, maintaining that constitutional reforms remain essential to tackling emerging security challenges across the country.
