The Chairman of the Local Government Staff Pension Board and former council boss, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, has extended warm felicitations to the founder of the Nigerian Beautician and Hairdressers Association (NBHA) Worldwide, Chief Mrs. Olubunmi Ayinke Adesanya JP, as she marks her 80th birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory statement he personally released to journalists, Hon. Ige described the octogenarian, who also holds the revered title of Iyalode Asewa of Yorubaland, Yeyeoba of Ijero Ekiti and Iyaloja Adelabu market, Orita Challenge, Ibadan as an iconic matriarch, a visionary leader, and a cherished mother figure.
Highlighting her groundbreaking achievements in enterprise and women’s empowerment, Ige who is the grand patron of the NBHA commended Chief Mrs. Adesanya for establishing the NBHA over four decades ago, note-worthy for transforming the lives of thousands across the globe.
“Mama’s passion for human development turned into a grand legacy through the NBHA. As a master mobilizer, she equipped thousands of members with sustainable skills, lifting families out of uncertainty and bettering livelihoods across generations.”

The former lawmaker further noted that beyond her public contributions as an industry trailblazer and cultural icon, Chief Mrs. Adesanya’s maternal wisdom and guidance have remained a personal pillar of support in his own life.
“To many, she is a pioneer and a guiding light, but to me, she is a loving mother whose counsel continues to inspire,” he added.
Hon. Ige prayed for divine grace, robust health, and renewed strength for the celebrant, wishing her continued joy as she celebrates her milestone 80th birthday.
