Ido LG PDP Ward 10 Holds Meeting with United Front — Commodore Babalola (Rtd) Ph.D Donates cash to Party Members

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 10, Ido Local Government, held a well-attended meeting on 15th October 2025 at Olupoyi Customary Court, bringing together party leaders, elders, and members across Zones 1, 2, and 3.

The meeting had in attendance Commodore Babalola (Rtd), Ph.D, a prominent party stalwart; the Immediate Past Chairman and current State Auditor, Alhaji Ayuba; the Local Government Exco Chairman, Hon. Musibau Emiola; the Vice Chairman, Mr. Yinka; and the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Adebayo Damoury.
Also present were the Ward 10 Councillor, all appointed ward executives, and newly appointed ward officers led by their Chairman, Mr. Osha, and Vice Chairman, Mr. Adulai Atere, representing Zones 3 and 1 respectively.

The meeting was graced by the Overall Ward 10 Leader, Alhaji Rasaki Olatinwo, popularly known as Baba Elewedu. Other notable leaders in attendance included Alhaji Atilola, Alhaji Kamo, Oloye Oladokun, Mr. Aboderin Baba-Olowe, Iya Mayor (Immediate Past Local Exco Women Leader), Alhaja Adiekola, Madam Amusan, Alhaji Atolagbe, and Mrs. Mustapha, among others. Several respected elders were also present in large numbers.

During the meeting, key issues affecting the ward were discussed and addressed comprehensively. The Ward Chairman, along with Commodore Babalola (Rtd), Alhaji Ayuba, Hon. Emiola, and other leaders from the three zones, emphasized the importance of teamwork, inclusiveness, transparency, and active participation to further strengthen the PDP within Ward 10 and across Ido Local Government.

As part of his continued support for the party, Commodore Babalola (Rtd) made a generous donation of ₦500,000 to appreciate the commitment of leaders, women, youth, and other members present. He also introduced a respected elder from Zone 2, a retired officer from the Nigerian Army in 1978, who was warmly received by attendees.

Additionally, Hon. Stephen contributed ₦100,000 to support the party, while Hon. Hammed Babalola extended his appreciation to eight members with undisclosed cash gifts through a transparent ballot process coordinated by Alhaji Ayuba and the Local PRO.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, reaffirming unity and renewed commitment among members to advance the progress of the PDP in Ward 10 and beyond.
