Hon. Niyi Adebisi Olabode, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency in Oyo State, has unveiled a development blueprint tagged RESET IFEDAPO ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The agenda, according to a statement outlining the initiative, is designed to promote infrastructural development, economic growth, effective representation and improved living conditions across the three local government areas.

Adebisi said the proposed framework was anchored on purposeful leadership, accountability, equitable distribution of development opportunities and inclusive governance.

The initiative identifies seven priority areas, including infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment, women development, education, healthcare and effective representation.

Infrastructure, Agriculture Take Centre Stage

Under the infrastructure component, the candidate proposed interventions in road development, electricity supply, access to clean water and the provision of essential community facilities.

He noted that improved infrastructure remained critical to economic activities and the wellbeing of residents, particularly those in rural communities who depend on accessible roads, electricity and other basic amenities for their livelihoods.

On agriculture, the agenda proposes support for farmers, agricultural mechanisation, improved market access and the development of processing facilities for cashew and soybean products.

The proposed agricultural value chains are expected to encourage local processing, create employment opportunities, reduce post-harvest losses and improve the economic value of agricultural produce.

Youth, Women Empowerment, Education

The blueprint also prioritises youth empowerment through skills acquisition programmes, information and communication technology training, entrepreneurship support and initiatives aimed at facilitating employment opportunities.

For women, Adebisi proposed financial inclusion programmes and business support initiatives to strengthen their participation in economic activities and improve their financial independence.

The education component focuses on scholarships and bursaries for students, improvement of school facilities and the introduction of digital learning opportunities.

On healthcare, the candidate proposed strengthening primary healthcare centres, organising medical outreach programmes and facilitating access to essential medical services, particularly in underserved communities.

Promises Accessible and Accountable Representation

The seventh pillar, effective representation, is designed to establish a more accessible and accountable leadership structure through regular constituency engagements, transparent communication and sustained interaction with stakeholders.

Adebisi said the proposed framework would provide opportunities for community leaders, youth groups, women associations, professional bodies and other stakeholders to contribute to decisions affecting the constituency.

He maintained that inclusive governance and regular consultations would be essential to ensuring that development initiatives reflect the actual needs and priorities of the people.

₦1bn Development Target

A major component of the initiative is a proposed four-year development framework targeting ₦1 billion to support resource mobilisation and attract development interventions across the constituency.

The framework is intended to provide a financial planning direction for prioritising projects, supporting community-based initiatives and facilitating partnerships with relevant institutions.

However, the proposed ₦1 billion target is subject to available funding, viable partnerships and compliance with established budgetary and financial regulations.

The candidate also identified engagement with federal ministries, departments and agencies as an important strategy for attracting infrastructure projects, employment opportunities and socio-economic interventions to the constituency.

According to the agenda, such engagements would focus on identifying available federal programmes and facilitating access to development initiatives that could benefit residents of Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo.

The initiative further emphasises collaboration with government institutions, development partners and other relevant stakeholders to expand the constituency’s access to development opportunities.

Focus on Accountability and Community Participation

Beyond the proposed projects, RESET IFEDAPO places emphasis on accountability and regular communication between the elected representative and constituents.

The framework seeks to promote a representation model in which development priorities are informed by the needs of the people and interventions are subjected to appropriate monitoring and evaluation.

The unveiling of the agenda comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with aspirants and political parties beginning to articulate their programmes and development priorities.

The proposed blueprint presents Adebisi’s vision for addressing infrastructure deficits, strengthening the agricultural economy, improving access to education and healthcare, and expanding opportunities for young people and women.

The candidate maintained that the future of the constituency required purposeful leadership, strategic planning and collective responsibility.

He said the ultimate objective of RESET IFEDAPO was to ensure that the people received effective representation, equitable development and measurable improvements in their living conditions.
