IBSWLG Chairman, Akande Congratulates Makinde , Wife on Aare Asoludero and Yeye Asoludero Chieftaincy Titles

The Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Engr. Tamunomini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland and Yeye Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland, respectively.

The titles were bestowed on the Governor and his wife by the traditional rulers of Ibarapaland at the palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I, as part of activities marking the monarch’s first coronation anniversary.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Akande described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Makinde’s commitment to inclusive governance, cultural heritage, and the sustainable development of Ibarapaland and Oyo State.

“On behalf of the good people of Ibadan South West Local Government, I heartily congratulate our leader, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and our dear mother, Engr. Tamunomini Makinde, on this prestigious honour bestowed upon them by the royal fathers of Ibarapaland.

“This recognition is a testament to your selfless service, purposeful leadership, and the positive impact of the Omituntun 3.0 agenda across the various zones of Oyo State. We celebrate with Kabiyesi Eleruwa and the entire people of Ibarapaland on this historic occasion.”

Akande further expressed confidence that the conferment of the titles would inspire greater commitment to the unity, peace, cultural preservation, and socio-economic development of the people.

He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance for Governor Makinde as he continues to steer the affairs of Oyo State.

The historic occasion attracted traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders, community leaders, and distinguished sons and daughters of Ibarapaland who gathered to celebrate the Eleruwa’s milestone and honour the Governor and his wife.
