The Executive Vice Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Akande Olubisi Ayinde, has formally resigned his membership from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), effective immediately.

The decision follows a thorough review of the prevailing conditions within the party, particularly the prolonged internal crises at both the state and federal levels. These challenges have significantly affected the party’s cohesion, weakened its leadership structure, and diminished its effectiveness as a platform for responsive governance.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Akande Olubisi Ayinde noted that his decision was guided by a strong commitment to stability, progressive leadership, and the need to prioritize the collective interest of the people.

> “At this critical point in our political journey, it is important to align with a platform that reflects unity, clear direction, and the capacity to deliver meaningful development to our people,” he stated.

He expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the PDP for the opportunity to serve, particularly in his roles as Executive Vice Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ibarapa Northwest LCDA.

Hon. Bisi Akande reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to public service and grassroots development, assuring constituents that his focus remains on delivering impactful governance and advancing the welfare of the people.

Further political engagements and alignments will be communicated in due course.
Signed:
Akande Olubisi Ayinde
