The Central Campaign Council Committee of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Ibadan South East Local Government Area has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for renewing the three-month wage award for civil servants and restoring the state’s transportation subsidy.
Speaking on behalf of the campaign council, the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, described the Governor’s approval as a timely, compassionate, and people-oriented intervention designed to cushion the effect of rising living costs on workers and families.
According to the committee, this decision is highly commendable,. It demonstrates that Governor Seyi Makinde deeply understands the feelings of our people and is doing everything humanly possible to ensure they live comfortably.” The statement read.
The campaign council noted that Governor Makinde’s rapid response to economic pressures reflects a governance style that places citizen welfare at its core.


Speaking on the political situation in the country, the committee expressed confidence that as Governor Makinde prepares for national leadership, his incoming successor Hon. Abimbola Adekambi possesses the proven capacity, competency and ability to maintain efficient service delivery to the people when he assumes the governorship of Oyo State in 2027.
The committee also pledged to deliver overwhelming victories for Hon. Stanley Olajide Odidiomo, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Alabamusa and Hon. Abimbola Saheed Owonifaari during the election in Ibadan South East local government
The committee called on residents of Oyo state to gather en masse at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Monday, September 21, for a landmark political event tagged the “BoyeNation/JAF Musical Concert,” to witness the official defection of supporters of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the APM, where over 70,000 opposition members will be welcomed into the party fold.
Key members of the campaign council associated with the statement include Leader Dare Adeleke, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, Prof. Daud Shangodoyin, Hon. Olajide Oluwole J.P., Hon. Abiodun Adedoja Ekolo, Hon. Tope Yusuf Supreme, Hon. (Mrs) Mariam Abiona Olokuta, and Hon. Lekan Ajilore.
