In a heartfelt demonstration of compassionate leadership and fulfillment of his campaign promise, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Adeleke Ayodele Olusola has empowered over 500 widows and elderly residents with direct cash gifts.

The impactful event, which took place at the Council Secretariat today 14th July 2025, brought together beneficiaries from various communities who received financial support to ease their burdens and uplift their wellbeing.

In his message made available by his personal assistant Azeez Sodiq Adesina while addressing the gathering, Hon. Adeleke reaffirmed that his administration remains committed to prioritizing the welfare of the most vulnerable, especially widows and the aged who have given so much to society but often receive so little in return.

“This cash support is not just a gift, it is a message of hope and an assurance that you are not forgotten,” the Chairman said. “I pledged during my campaign to stand by our mothers and fathers in their old age and today’s empowerment is a clear step in that direction.”

Hon. Adeleke also seized the moment to express profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for providing an enabling environment that makes people-oriented governance possible at the grassroots. He commended the Governor’s tireless efforts in championing impactful policies that continue to prioritize the welfare of ordinary citizens across the state.

Adeleke and to give him their full support as he relentlessly pursues meaningful infrastructure projects across Ibarapa Central.
