OYO LAWMAKER, HON. LEKAN MONSUR ABIOLA, HONOURS PROMISE TO AKINYELE TAILORS BY PRESENTING TAILORING EQUIPMENT TO COMPETITION WINNER.

The Honourable Member representing Akinyele Constituency One in the Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA), Hon. Lekan Monsur Abiola, has once again demonstrated his commitment to integrity, accountability, and grassroots empowerment by fulfilling his promise to the Tailors Association of Nigeria (TAN), Akinyele Chapter, through the presentation of a complete tailoring machine and essential tailoring equipment to the winner of the association’s competition.

The presentation ceremony, held amidst members of the association and community stakeholders, was another testament to the lawmaker’s unwavering dedication to promoting vocational development and improving the livelihoods of artisans across Akinyele Local Government.

Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Tailors Association of Nigeria, Akinyele Chapter, Mr. Sakiru Adegoke, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Lekan Monsur Abiola for honouring the pledge he made during the association’s competition.

According to Mr. Adegoke, Hon. Abiola had assured members that the eventual winner of the competition would receive a brand-new tailoring machine along with all the necessary working equipment. He noted that the lawmaker has once again proved that his words can be trusted by fulfilling the promise exactly as made.

“Today is another clear example that Hon. Lekan Monsur Abiola is a man of his word. He made this promise during our competition, and today he has fulfilled it. On behalf of the Tailors Association of Nigeria, Akinyele Chapter, we sincerely appreciate his generosity, commitment, and unwavering support for artisans. We pray that Almighty God will continue to strengthen and elevate him in his service to humanity,” Mr. Adegoke stated.

The goodwill message of Hon. Lekan Monsur Abiola was delivered by Alhaji Liadi, who represented the lawmaker at the presentation ceremony.
In the address, Hon. Abiola reaffirmed that delivering on promises remains a fundamental principle of his representation, stressing that the people of Akinyele Constituency One deserve responsive leadership and tangible dividends of democracy.
He noted that since assuming office, his administration has consistently prioritized projects and empowerment initiatives that directly impact the lives of constituents, adding that the presentation of the tailoring equipment is another fulfilment of his campaign promises.
“You voted for me, and you deserve nothing but the very best from government. Since my assumption of office, I have remained committed to providing quality representation and delivering meaningful projects and empowerment programmes across Akinyele Constituency One. This empowerment is part of that commitment, and by the grace of God, we will continue to do even more for our people,” the message read.

Hon. Abiola further encouraged artisans, youths, and professional associations to remain hardworking, united, and committed to excellence, assuring them of his continued support for initiatives that promote economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

The presentation was warmly received by members of the Tailors Association, who described the gesture as a significant encouragement to artisans and a practical demonstration of responsive representation.
