The State House of Assembly Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, for Ibadan South West Constituency 11, Honourable Akinsete Olakunle, on Wednesday continued his grassroots engagement with a ward tour of Ward 7 and Ward 10 in the constituency.
The tour, which was part of his ongoing consultations ahead of the forthcoming elections, afforded the candidate the opportunity to interact directly with party leaders, community stakeholders, market women, youth groups, and residents.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Akinsete expressed appreciation to the people for their warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, grassroots development, and inclusive governance if elected.
“Our strength lies in the people. I am here to listen, to understand your challenges, and to assure you that your voice will be represented at the Oyo State House of Assembly,” he said.

He outlined key areas of focus for his legislative agenda to include improved access to basic amenities, youth empowerment, support for small businesses, better healthcare services, and educational development across Ibadan South West.

Youth Leader of Ward 7, Honourable Ojo, charged the party candidate to keep carrying everybody along in his plans and activities.
Ward 7 Chairman, Alhaji Musbaudeen, also encouraged party members to work hand in hand to support the party candidate and ensure victory for APM in the constituency.
Women leader, Mrs Monsurat Ishola, popularly known as Iya Ibadan, sought support for women and charged the candidate not to forget them once he gets to the office.
Adeola Lawal and Dauda Gbadamosi from Ward 10 also encouraged Honourable Shete not to forget Ward 10 members and to ensure they are carried along in all party and government programmes.
Also speaking, Ajibola Bello appealed to Honourable Shete to operate an open door policy and to put the youth at the center of his representation.
In response, Hon. Akinsete thanked the leaders for their candid advice and promised to run an inclusive administration that prioritizes women, youth and all stakeholders across all wards. He assured them that their suggestions would be reflected in his legislative priorities.
Residents also used the opportunity to table issues affecting their communities, including road rehabilitation, drainage, security, and empowerment programmes. Hon. Akinsete assured them that these concerns would form part of his priorities in office.
The ward tour ended with interactive sessions, door-to-door sensitization, and the inauguration of grassroots mobilization teams in Wards 7 and 10.
The APM Candidate was accompanied by his campaign committee members, local government and various ward leaders.
