GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE OF ADC IN OYO STATE, OLOOYE TAOFEEK ADEGBOYEGA ADEGOKE, APPOINTS YEMI AMODU AS DIRECTOR, MEDIA & PUBLICITY FOR “SOLUTIONS 2027” CAMPAIGN COUNCIL

Ibadan, Oyo State – August 16, 2026

The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Oyo State and the incoming Governor, Olooye Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke, has announced the appointment of Mr. Yemi Amodu as the Director, Media & Publicity of the “Solutions 2027” Campaign Council.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

In a statement issued by the Campaign Organization on Monday, Olooye Adegoke described Amodu as a seasoned media strategist, award-winning writer, film director, public speaker, and academic with deep understanding of Oyo State politics, culture, and grassroots mobilization.

PROFILE OF THE NEW DIRECTOR
Mr. Yemi Amodu is a communication expert and scholar. He holds a Diploma in Dramatic Literature & Criticism, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts, and a Master of Arts degree in Film Studies. He is currently a PhD candidate.

He is a lecturer, an award-winning writer and movie director, and a public speaker who has engaged audiences across Nigeria and beyond. He also has several professional certificates in media, drama, and leadership development.

According to the statement:
“As we move towards 2027, Oyo State needs Solutions. We need clear communication, truth, and direct connection with our people. Yemi Amodu brings the experience, academic depth, creativity, and passion required to drive our message of Solutions, Restoration, and Prosperity to every corner of Oyo State.”

The Director, Media & Publicity will be responsible for coordinating all media activities, strategic communications, press engagements, digital publicity, and public perception management for the “Solutions 2027” Campaign.

In his acceptance, Mr. Yemi Amodu expressed gratitude to the candidate and the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to work with journalists, media houses, content creators, and stakeholders to ensure that the vision of a New Oyo State under ADC is effectively communicated.

He further called on members of the fourth estate and the good people of Oyo State to join hands in building a campaign anchored on truth, issue-based politics, and the collective aspiration for a better Oyo.
