Leaders of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Ibarapaland have challenged the member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Remi Oseni, to produce documentary, photographic and other verifiable evidence in support of projects and interventions he has reportedly attributed to his office and previous activities.
The demand was contained in a communique issued after a meeting of APM leaders across Ibarapaland, attended by political leaders, candidates and other stakeholders of the party.
The leaders said the requested documents would enable members of the public to independently verify the claims being made ahead of the 2027 general elections.
They specifically challenged Oseni to provide evidence of the nine road projects he reportedly listed as having been facilitated in Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.

According to the APM leaders, the evidence should include photographs, videos, project locations, project details, approvals and other relevant documents establishing the status and implementation of the projects.
They also demanded documentary evidence of the 11 additional road projects Oseni reportedly said had been approved and were ready for flag-off.
The leaders requested copies of the approvals, project locations, funding arrangements and details of the implementing agencies for public scrutiny.
The demands followed a recent town hall meeting in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area of Oyo State, where Oseni reportedly highlighted several constituency interventions and projects as part of his record in public office.
FERMA Chairmanship
The APM leaders also questioned the impact of Oseni’s chairmanship of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) on Oyo State.
They challenged the APC candidate to provide details of federal road projects he had facilitated for Oyo State since assuming the committee chairmanship.
They requested the locations, project values, contractors, implementation status and relevant government approvals relating to such projects.
The leaders further asked Oseni to disclose the number of Oyo State residents who had benefited from employment opportunities allegedly facilitated through FERMA during his tenure as committee chairman.
They said such information would enable residents to assess the practical impact of the position on the state rather than relying solely on political assertions.
’70 Per Cent of Lawmakers Are CEOs, Governors or Ministers’
The APM leaders also demanded clarification and evidence regarding a statement attributed to Oseni that about 70 per cent of National Assembly members were chief executive officers, governors or federal ministers, while those without such status were “bench warmers.”
They asked the APC candidate to provide the constitutional, statutory or other authoritative basis for the assertion.
According to the leaders, claims concerning the constitutional status and responsibilities of elected lawmakers should be supported by verifiable evidence.
They said Oseni should produce the relevant constitutional provision or authoritative reference if he intended to sustain the claim.
42 Transformers
The communique also questioned Oseni’s reported claim concerning the distribution of 42 transformers.
The APM leaders demanded copies of handover documents, installation records, photographs and videos of the installations, as well as a comprehensive list of beneficiary communities.
They said the locations of the transformers should be made public to enable residents and community leaders to verify their delivery and installation.
Healthcare Projects
The leaders also requested evidence concerning healthcare projects reportedly attributed to the lawmaker.
They asked Oseni to provide the locations and supporting documents for the four health centres he reportedly said he constructed before his election, as well as the two specialist hospitals he reportedly said were constructed or were ongoing after his election.
The requested information, they said, should include the locations, dates of commencement, current status, contractors or implementing agencies and relevant government documentation.
Fertiliser, Agrochemicals and Farm Equipment
The APM leaders further demanded evidence concerning the reported distribution of fertiliser, agrochemicals and farm equipment by Oseni.
They requested beneficiary records, distribution locations, photographs, videos and handover documents relating to the interventions.
They said beneficiaries should be identifiable and available for verification, while the documentation should indicate the quantities of items distributed and the communities covered.
The leaders also specifically demanded evidence supporting the reported distribution of 7,000 chemicals and sprayers, including details of the quantities distributed, beneficiaries and locations.
Borehole Projects
The APM leaders similarly requested details of borehole projects reportedly facilitated by Oseni.
They asked for the names of beneficiary communities, project locations, dates of installation, photographs and relevant project documents to be made available for public verification.
They said residents should be able to physically locate and verify the projects claimed to have been facilitated by the lawmaker.
‘He Who Asserts Must Prove’
The APM leaders stressed that their demands were not intended to replace political debate with rhetoric, but to place specific claims before the public for independent verification.
They maintained that political office holders seeking elective positions should be prepared to provide details and evidence of projects and interventions attributed to them, particularly when such achievements form part of their campaign records.
The leaders gave Oseni 24 hours to make the requested evidence available to the public, including project locations, photographs, videos, approvals and beneficiary records.
They maintained that such documentation would allow residents of Ibarapaland and Oyo State to independently assess the claims.
The APM leaders further invoked the principle that “he who asserts must prove,” saying the principle should guide public discourse concerning projects, interventions and achievements attributed to political office holders.
Among political leaders reported to have attended the meeting were the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin; APM candidate for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Dr. Adebayo Adepoju; APM candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji; Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Sola Adeleke; Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke; and former Oyo State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Majekodunmi Aborode, among other party leaders and stakeholders.
