The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, His Eminence, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan as Muslims globally celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
In a statement, the revered Islamic leader described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewed devotion to Almighty Allah.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to sustain the virtues of piety, discipline, tolerance, and charity imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan, noting that these values are essential for peaceful coexistence and societal growth.
The Aare Musulumi also called on Nigerians to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to pray for the unity, peace, and progress of the country.
He further appealed to leaders at all levels to prioritize justice, fairness, and the welfare of the people.
While wishing Muslims a joyous Eid celebration, he prayed that Allah accepts their acts of worship and grants the nation lasting peace and prosperity.
