The prominent APM member and PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ibadan North in the 2023 general election, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across the constituency on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Hon. Sarumi urged Muslims to continue to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, love, peace, and unity which Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes, stressing the importance of harmonious coexistence and compassion among citizens.
He also used the occasion to express deep concern over the abduction of school children in Oriire Local Government Area, praying fervently for their safe and immediate return to their families.
According to him, “This season calls for prayers, love, and hope. I join well-meaning Nigerians in praying for the safe rescue of the abducted Oriire school children and for God’s protection over all our communities.”
Hon. Sarumi further called on government and security agencies to intensify efforts towards ensuring the safety of lives and property across Oyo State and the country at large.
He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
