*Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency PDP Consensus Candidate, OTOPE, Resigns from PDP; Appreciates Gov. Makinde, Party Leaders*

The consensus candidate for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, has officially resigned his membership from the party.

This was made known to the general public in the early hours of Thursday morning, May 7, 2026, through his Media Aide, Mr. Segun Akinlabi.

Speaking on his decision, Dr. Oladimeji stated:

“I deeply appreciate the party for the time well spent there, but I must move on. This decision is personal and made after careful consideration.

My sincere appreciation goes to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his leadership, support, and political guidance over the years. I also appreciate all leaders and stakeholders in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and at the state level for their encouragement, cooperation, and relationship throughout my stay in the party.

I want to assure the good people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency that I remain committed to my mission of representing them at the Green Chamber come 2027. My next political party will be unveiled soon.”

Dr. Oladimeji further thanked party members, supporters, youths, women groups, and loyal followers who stood by him during his time in the PDP, noting that the relationships and experiences gathered over the years would always be valued.

He reaffirmed his dedication to the progress, development, and effective representation of the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.
