Hon. Olufade Receives Blessing from Descendants of Ibadan Warrior Oderinlo

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Oluwatobi Olufade has received royal blessings from the descendants of the famed Ibadan warrior, Oderinlo, during a courtesy visit to his office at Agodi Gate, Ibadan.

The delegation, led by Chief Kabir Adegboyega Oderinlo also known as (Arole Oderinlo World Wide) comprising family members from the historic Oderinlo Compound, Oja’ba, Ibadan, visited the chairman to offer prayers, goodwill and support for the present administration in Oyo State.

Addressing during the visit, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to promoting the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan Land in line with the vision of the indefatigable Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde. He expressed profound appreciation for the visit and for the unflinching support the Oderinlo family has consistently shown to the current administration in Oyo State.

Hon. Olufade further appealed for their continuous support ahead of the forthcoming local government and general elections, assuring them that their trust and encouragement would never be taken for granted. “We will never take your support for granted,” he stated.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Chief Kabir Adegboyega Oderinlo described Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade as “a young, talented leader who knows what to do at the right place and at the right time,” adding, “Keep up the good work; I am proud of you.”

Chief Oderinlo also used the occasion to passionately appeal to Ibadan North Local Government and the Oyo State Government to immortalize the name of their forefather, “ODERINLO,” by naming a public institution such as a school, market, or hospital after “ODERINLO DYNASTY”. He stressed that he was not seeking financial reward, but recognition for the great sacrifices made by Oderinlo for Ibadan Land and the entire South-West, noting that Oderinlo was the first Balogun of Ibadan Land and played a pivotal role in the growth and survival of Ibadan and other Yoruba-speaking communities and States.

“If the present administration does this for my family, you can count on my full support throughout the forthcoming elections,” Chief Oderinlo pledged.
