Constituency Stakeholders Commend Agboworin As Lawmaker Urges Continuous Support For Governor Makinde, PDP*

The member representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency of Oyo State, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, on Sunday, hosted stakeholders and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the two councils of the constituency.

The meeting, which was well attended by the stakeholders and his expanded teams including local excos, ward excos, supervisory councillors, special assistants, served as a platform to discuss plans for the growth and development of the constituency and party.

Agboworin, while addressing them, at his Felele residence in Ibadan, expressed profound gratitude for their continuous support and dedication, describing their efforts as instrumental to his seamless success.

He equally used the opportunity to advocate for peace, unity, and togetherness, stressing that such cohesion is vital for collective progress of the party not only at the constituency level but the state as well.

Agboworin said: “I appreciate this gathering today and I want to say thank you to everyone. You have been standing by me as brothers and sisters, and I will always remain grateful for your gesture.

“Over the years, we have made significant progress and, by the grace of God, we will continue to achieve more for our people.

“There can’t be anybody like Agboworin if not for you. If not for your love, dedication to duty and doggedness, I won’t be where I am today. So, I acknowledge your usual support.”

The lawmaker also announced plans to organise a free medical outreach and construct a new police station, which would be located at the Ward 3 area of Ibadan North East.

Speaking further at the gathering, which lasted three hours, Agboworin emphasized the importance of continuous support for the party, encouraging stakeholders to work towards its progress.

“There is no doubt that our party has transformed the political landscape of our constituency despite backstabbing, blackmail, and the “Pull-him-down Syndrome because God has been on our side.

“So, as things stand, I want to urge us to continue to focus on collective progress of our party and unity of purpose,” Agboworin stated.

Agboworin, who is a two-term lawmaker, applauded Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his developmental strides in the state and support for the PDP in the state, saying that his gesture is worthy of emulation.

Concluding, he urged the stakeholders to continue their support the governor for and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noting that such collaboration is vital for sustained development across the federal constituency and the state at large.

Some of the stakeholders who spoke at the engagement, commended the lawmaker for convening the meeting and hailed his representation, saying that he is truly committed to pursue a brighter future for the constituency.
