Hon. Chief Jelil Oyediran, Mogaji Amugiri of Ibadan, has graced the turbaning ceremony of Hon. Lateef Adebare Akorede as the first Aare Musulumi of Ayete Land, describing the occasion as a significant milestone for the Muslim community and the people of Ayete.
Hon. Akorede, who serves as the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government and is the candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) for the Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North State Constituency in the 2027 general election, was bestowed with the prestigious Islamic title by the Muslim community in Ayete Land on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Chief Jelil Oyediran joined prominent personalities, community leaders, religious stakeholders, political associates, and well-wishers at the colourful ceremony, which celebrated Hon. Akorede’s contributions to the development of the community and his commitment to the welfare of the people.
In recognition of the significance of the occasion and in support of the new Aare Musulumi, Chief Oyediran donated ₦500,000 to the celebration.

The gesture further demonstrated his commitment to supporting community development, religious activities, and individuals who contribute positively to the growth and unity of society.
The turbaning ceremony attracted dignitaries from across Ayete, Ibarapa and beyond, with speakers at the event congratulating Hon. Akorede and praying for wisdom, success and greater accomplishments in his new role as Aare Musulumi of Ayete Land.
