A former 2027 aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ibadan North East Constituency II, Hon. (Mogaji) Olaide Sarafadeen Olalere, Mogaji Sangotegbe compound, Oje ibadan popularly known as ERE, has officially defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Hon. Olalere joined the APM through the party’s South-West leader, Alhaji Adebisi Aremu Olopoeyan Adeyemi, during a meeting in the United Kingdom.
Following his defection, ERE declared his support for Governor Seyi Makinde, expressing confidence in his leadership and endorsing him for the presidency. He also threw his weight behind the APM governorship aspiration of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi in Oyo State.
In addition, Hon. Olalere endorsed Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide (Odidi Omo) for Oyo South Senatorial District and Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin for the Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency seat.

He further pledged his support for other APM candidates, including Hon. Abiodun Babalola and Hon. Akinloye for the Oyo State House of Assembly, assuring party members of his commitment to strengthening the APM ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Olalere stated that his decision to join the APM was driven by his desire to be part of a progressive movement focused on good governance, development, and effective representation for the people of Oyo State.
