On behalf of Ogbomoso Land, I join Oyo State in congratulating Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi and Engr. Muftau Open Salawu on their nominations as Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates for the Allied People’s Movement (APM). Their selection is a significant step toward sustaining Governor Seyi Makinde’s transformative vision.

*Governor Makinde’s Vision: The Oyo State Roadmap*

Governor Makinde’s leadership is guided by the Oyo State Roadmap for Sustainable Development (2019-2023, extended to 2027 and beyond), which prioritizes economic resilience, quality education, food security, and improved safety.
The administration has diversified the economy, strengthened agriculture, and increased internally generated revenue. Education reforms have made basic education free and compulsory, with investments in youth technical skills. Food security initiatives support farmers with modern practices and market access, while security measures such as Amotekun have enhanced safety statewide.
This roadmap provides a strong foundation for the candidates to advance.

*Why Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi is the Right Choice*

Mr. Adekanmbi offers extensive financial and public administration experience vital for Oyo State’s progress. As former Commissioner for Finance, he managed the state’s budget and revenue systems, promoting financial discipline consistent with Makinde’s standards.
His leadership of the Ibadan airport upgrade committee highlights his capacity to oversee major infrastructure projects. Adekanmbi’s calm, strategic approach and technical expertise position him to sustain and expand Makinde’s reforms.

Engr. Open Salawu is an experienced civil engineer and project leader with a strong background in public infrastructure and private real estate development. He has upgraded health centers and delivered over 1,000 housing units, demonstrating a thorough understanding of development processes.
His roles as Special Adviser on Works and Transport, Executive Assistant on Project Monitoring, and Chairman of the Project Performance Monitoring Agency demonstrate his commitment to accountability and efficient project delivery. His technical expertise supports the leadership required to improve Oyo’s infrastructure and services.
Supporting Continuity and Progress

Mr. Adekanmbi and Engr. Salawu demonstrate the professionalism and technical capacity needed to continue Governor Makinde’s legacy. Their combined expertise will help keep Oyo State on a path to prosperity, security, and social development.
Voting for these candidates is a vote for competence, transparency, and tangible results in Oyo State’s future.
I congratulate Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi and Engr. Muftau Open Salawu on their nominations and thank Governor Seyi Makinde for his dedication to developing capable leaders. Together, let’s continue advancing Oyo State.
The future is in our hands. Let’s continue moving Oyo State forward.
