BGI Congratulates Hon. Abiodun Baruwa on Appointment, Says It’s a Deserving Honour

Hon. Babatunde George Ige, popularly known as BGI, has congratulated Hon. Abiodun Adekunle Isola BARUWA on his recent appointment as Executive Assistant on Executive Adviser, Intra-Party Affairs by Governor Seyi Makinde.

In a congratulatory message released to journalists in Ibadan, BGI described the appointment as a “well-deserved honour” that reflects BARUWA’s immense contributions to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the growth of grassroots politics in Oyo State.

“Hon. BARUWA’s appointment is not by accident. It is a deserving honour in recognition of his loyalty, consistency, and immense contribution to our great party over the years,” BGI stated.

He noted that BARUWA has remained a committed party man, a bridge-builder, and a grassroots mobilizer whose dedication has helped strengthen the PDP across Ibadan South West Constituency I and beyond.

“His track record of community service, youth empowerment, and unwavering support for Governor Makinde’s administration makes him eminently qualified for this role,” BGI added.

The former lawmaker expressed confidence that BARUWA will bring his experience and political sagacity to bear in managing intra-party affairs and deepening unity within the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections.

BGI prayed for God’s guidance and wisdom for BARUWA as he assumes the new responsibility, and urged party members to support him to succeed in office.

Governor Makinde recently announced a fresh wave of appointments to reposition his administration, with BARUWA named to focus on intra-party coordination, stakeholder engagement, and party cohesion.

BARUWA, a respected APM chieftain and community leader, was also recently endorsed by youth stakeholders in Ibadan South West Constituency I as their consensus candidate for the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
